K&H Rodeo Company Scholarship Program

Eligibility - Applicants must meet all of the following criteria

    Be high school senior of graduating class 2024 or 2025
    Be enrolled or planning to enroll in, an accredited 2-year or 4-year
    college or university within the United States, in a full-time (at least
    12 hours) degree seeking program for the first time
    Compete in Western Sports in High School through their respected
    High School or local club.
    Be a resident of South Dakota

A few areas we will value:

Academic Achievement

Applicants should have a current GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

Character

Demonstrate a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society.Display and practice good sportsmanship.Treat the people around you with respect.

Community Involvement

Have volunteered for organizations in their community and submit verifiable proof of volunteer hours

Scholarship Distribution

    Two Scholarships are available of $1,250 each.
    Distribution will be in August of 2024 during the Watertown Rodeo. Recipients will be notified before to the event and invited to accept their distribution during the event.
    Distributions will be paid directly to the recipient. 
    Award can be used towards tuition, books, room and board, and other academic expenses.


Applying for the scholarship

  • 1.

    A completed scholarship application form.

  • 2.

    Two letters of recommendation, for instance from a teacher/professor, counselor/academic advisor or school administrator, employer, coach, or volunteer organization.

  • 3.

    A current high school transcript.

  • 4.

    A minimum of 5 photos of you competing in your respected sport(s).

  • 5.
